Mindfulness
Nurturing Spirit Week provided a moment of reflection and connection for the children in a fun inclusive way. Through the practise of mindfulness and yoga, young people are provided with the opportunity to relax and simply be. This may allow them to explore difficult emotions, equally appreciating and being grateful for all that is positive in their lives. The experience of guided exploration with curiosity utilising poses and breathing practices provides a fertile ground for essential life skills; such as focused attention, emotional and physical awareness of self and others, kindness, resilience and acceptance.
