Why Choose a Prep Education?
A prep education can be the gateway to some of the top senior schools
Every parent wants the best for their children and a prep education can be the gateway to some of the top senior schools. Coworth pupils for example go onto schools such as Downe House, St Mary’s, Heathfield, Wycombe Abbey and Sir William Perkins’s.
However, prep schools provide a great deal more than just exam success, offering additional value on many other levels. At Coworth Flexlands a vast co-curricular programme complements the wide & varied curriculum. With around 30 clubs to choose from, from the arts to nurture spirit and STEM to inspire minds, Coworth pupils can really find their passion and you can truly see why it’s a school where happiness gets results.
One of the most important aspects is the small class sizes. The majority of our classes have around 12-15 children. Each pre-prep class also has a qualified teaching assistant creating an enviable adult-to-child ratio. Every child is well known by all staff and with specialist teachers for science, forest school, art, sport, music, languages and performing arts children leave here with confidence in themselves and the academic prowess to flourish in their new settings.
Our drama teacher, Miss Pardo is still a performing actress and results show as her LAMDA students have cleared the board with distinctions year on year.
With 13 acres of land we have ample space to explore. Nursery have their own Forest School area which they visit termly with our Forest School practitioner and the main school take turns to visit our Forest School. With a larger focus on outdoor learning, we have the facilities to take any class outside in our outdoor classroom.
Offering wrap around care from 7.30am-6pm, an education at Coworth Flexlands offers flexibility for working parents whilst in the knowledge that their children are able to grow and learn at their own pace, finding what excites them the most in a caring, nurturing environment.
