Curriculum

At Coworth Flexlands, we believe childhood is precious and should be filled with opportunity, curiosity and joy. Our curriculum is designed to inspire a love of learning and build confidence, with every child encouraged to aim high - academically, creatively and personally.

We remove the idea of “glass ceilings” by setting personalised targets just beyond each child’s current level, fostering resilience, independence and a willingness to take risks. Progress is continually assessed, and all subjects—from core academics to the arts—are given equal importance, creating a truly balanced education.

Children benefit from specialist teaching in subjects such as Science, Computing, Humanities, Languages, Drama and Sport. Learning is brought to life through trips, workshops and hands-on experiences, including regular residentials from Year 3 onwards and Forest School sessions that promote exploration, creativity and teamwork.

PSHE and citizenship are integrated throughout school life, teaching pupils' empathy, resilience, and how to make informed, positive contributions to society. Christian values underpin our community, and children also learn about a wide range of world religions and cultures, developing respect and understanding for others.

Modern languages, Music, Drama and Sport enrich the curriculum further, helping children develop as confident communicators, performers and team players. Whether coding in Computing, growing vegetables, creating Art or competing in Maths challenges, our pupils leave us as capable, well-rounded learners, ready for the next stage of education and life beyond.
