Coworth Flexlands was formed in 2004 from the merger of Coworth Park School and Flexlands School. Although a relatively new school, it carries forward the ethos and history of both predecessors, creating a strong community spirit.
Coworth Park School was founded in 1962 by the Sisters of the Resurrection under the Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth. It quickly gained a reputation for high-quality teaching and nurturing children of all abilities. In 1971, a group of parents took over governance, maintaining close ties with families. The school moved to its current Valley End site, a former private house, in 1993, retaining a family-oriented atmosphere with ample grounds.
Flexlands was a girls’ school established in 1935 by sisters Ann and Katherine Mais. It moved to Station Road, Chobham in 1940 before merging with Coworth Park in 2004. Both schools have long emphasized a caring, nurturing environment for pupils.
