Outings & Visits

School trips enhance many important aspects of the curriculum and support learning from Science and Geography to Music, English and History. Our children learn the importance of behaving well in a large group outside the school premises, testing their respect for the environment they are visiting and towards other visitors; their politeness, obedience and listening skills. Each age group will undertake at least two school trips during the year.
The residential trips which include Devon and Yorkshire for
Years 4, 5 and 6 take place during the summer term and aim to
convey important life skills in responsibility
and independence
- all crucial in the girls’ preparations for secondary school. Most
come home having realised something new about themselves, whether it be
their confidence through living away from home or their ability to persevere
with a
tough and
muddy assault course in the pouring rain!
