Examination Success 2010
Spring 2010 has been a term of excellent success for the girls.
leaving them with exciting decisions regarding senior schools.
In total 36 entry examinations were taken for 15 different
schools across the country. This year the selection was as
diverse as ever and included Lady Eleanor Holles, Kendrick,
St George’s Ascot, Wycombe Abbey, Sir William Perkins,
St Mary’s Ascot, Cheltenham Ladies College, Luckley Oakfield
and The Abbey School, Reading.
Importantly, each year new schools are added to the list -
this year they included Surbiton High School and St Mary’s
Calne where girls have secured their places obtaining well
above the pass levels in entrance examinations.
Exam preparation is very thorough with a success rate of 95%
in2010. In addition, excellent teaching and well prepared pupils
may lead to the offer of scholarships. This year Coworth-Flexlands
has secured academic scholarships to Luckley Oakfield, St George’s
Ascot and The Abbey School, Reading. In music there are awards
at St George’s Ascot, Lady Eleanor Holles and The Abbey
School, Reading. Sport has also been successful with a sports
scholarship for Brigidine School.
Well done also to two boys leaving the school this summer.
Both have secured places at the popular Woodcote House School
in Windlesham and Papplewick School in Ascot, where an ‘All
Rounder Award’ was also given. These results have maintained
a 100% success rate for boys from Coworth-Flexlands to these
schools.
